I've designed a cover page and a column for the Beyond travel magazine. The issue of the magazine was about travels in Myanmar. Beyond is a modern magazine with clean looking design. It is targeted to adventurous travelers who desire to learn about unique cultures.
Myanmar is famous for its beautiful landscapes, and pilgrimage sites. So for the cover page I decided to mix these images and create a collage with a photo of a monk meditating in a picturesque Bagan landscape, thus playing with the perception that meditation makes your mind fly.

For the magazine to have a clean and sophisticated look I used a lot of white space and photos in similar color palette. The font for the header (Charlemagne Std) reflects the style of Myanmar architecture.
