In the following project I redesigned a column from the Wallpaper online magazine for a new Print and Web magazine. The editorial I designed for is the 'BOLD' Fashion magazine. The story I redesigned is about Simone Rocha's recent collection from London Fashion Week.
Simone Rocha created the collection combining fabrics of different textures and bright colors. And the story tells that she develops the aesthetic of '...the girlish with the gothic, the romantic with the quietly rebellious'. I intended to show this in the layout.
I used Gothic-looking font (Luminari) for the title of the story and styled with Red and Pink colors that are used in her designs. I cropped photos of her collection in different sizes to make an emphasis on the details of fabrics and accessories.
Mobile version of the magazine has a continuous scroll design. The cover of the issue is a loading page, when the magazine is loaded the user can choose a story they want to read from the menu icon.
